Valves are the main component for flow controls. Below is a selection of types of valves used in various flow control requirements. All come in various sizes and working pressures and trims. These three requirements are needed up front in order to specify the correct valve for a particular application. The actuator type and if a surface or subsea application, is required to ship the completed assembly.

When specifying the choke, upstream and downstream working pressures and flow characteristics are required to properly size the choke.
